Today , I said the morning mass at 9.a.m at the Church and then all joined together to say the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.There was a couple who drove three hours this morning to come for the Malayalam mass from Tampa. Jogy and Jaisy said that their prayer to Our Lady was miraculously answered.They are happy to come here once in a while for the mass.Today is a relaxing day and I thank the Lord for giving me this free moments. Thomaskutty seems to be a bit stable today.

Florida-Everglades

Today I went with Mr.Jose to Naples.The highway passes through Everglades where crocodiles thrive.We saw a few of them on the banks of the small river that runs parallel to the Highway which is protected by fencing. I had lunch at Johny and Sally's house after my return from Naples.

These are from Florida.The first is the rectory and the seond one, Fr.Jose Kottayil,the third is the church and the fourth is the coconut tree in the backyard.The weather is good except that we get rain once in a while .Yesterday I went for a long walk and was caught in the rain.Every morning I go for walks for an hour.Thank You Lord for this weather in Florida.

Today I celebrated mass at the Syro-Malabar Church here at 10.a.m and then visited the CCD students in their class rooms.The students were very actively participating in their classes. After taking luch with the people,I returned to the rectory for a short rest.Then I went for a walk around 4.30p.m.It was slightly cold here and later went to the Borders Book store.
Jose, one of the Trustees came around 6.30p.m. and I left with him for Appachan 's house.Returning from there ,stopped at Davis' house.Reached here by 10p.m.A quiet day here.Thank You ,Lord, for these opportunities.
I am relieved to learn from Nimish and Mathaichan yesterday that Thomaskutty has not developed any infection although he is in the same state as before.

Family

I am in Florida today.When I left Chicago ,it was snowing there.The plane was delayed for more than half an hour for de-icing.I reached the rectory around 6.30p.m.One of the Trustees,Mr.Johnson, was at the airport.In the evening ,I went to Baby and Mary Nadayil's house(Gloria and Jobin) for dinner with two of the Adoration sisters,Sr.Mercitta and Sr.Maria. I am back here in the rectory.
I left Chciago with a heavy heart because of the news about Thomaskutty's condition as he had to be admitted into the intensive because of chest infection.Only prayer is our help.I am sure Our Lord will give him total healing.
I will be here until Jan.28th.

S.B.Alumni Association-Jubilee Celebration

The SB and Assumption Alumni Association held a gathering to celebrate the Fourtieth ordination anniversary on Dec.29,07.During the meeting awards were presented to two of the bright students from the Alumni family.

Today is Jan.1,08.I went to say the midnight mass at the Cathedral. When we came back, it was around 3.am. We have to ask the Lord for blessings in this New Year. The snow is still falling. It was snowing when we left for the midnight mass.This year is very significant as so many important events in our family will be taking place.We have to pray to the Lord for special blessings during this year.Lord, we thank You.
