Quantum theory came into full flowering in the 1920s.Quantum Mechanics --initiated by Schrodinger and Heisenberg.Light is emitted in quanta or bundles of energy.
This theory changes our view of reality.Everything that we perceive and experience is more than what we perceive--bundles of energy--are not inert but living energies.
Energy flow is the primary essence of reality.My desk is a constellation of living energy.
The observer is always involved in the process and not neutral.In a participatory universe, no such thing exists as a neutral observer.According to the quantum theory ,not only is the observer involved but the observer actually brings about what is being observed.In the quantum world view , nothing makes sense in isolation.(p.330
Living systems are by their very nature subjects alone nor objects isolated.Each living being is implicated in every other .Each suffering , each extinction , affects us.(36)
In a quantum universe , all life is understood to operate within the context of relational interaction--Everything is affected(rather than caused ) by everything else.(37)
In a quantum universe ,nothing is predictable.They like the word"probability".
Surprise, expectancy,wonder, creativity etc are the kind of words the quantum scientists use to make sense of reality.
p.61-Hologram--a special type of optical stroage system.--any piece of the hologram will reconstruct the entire image.
plasma--a plasma comprises a higher density of electrons and postive ions.
Bohm worked in this field. Bohm's next breakthrough --in his concept of the quantum potential--a new field like gravity pervaded all space.
He was concerned with the whole.
His next step was to grapple with the relationship of order and randomness in the world.
Our primary reality is the unbroken wholeness.The tangible reality is a kind of illusion--Maya. It is the deeper realm of existence , the implicate order that gives birth to all the objects of our physical world-like a piece of holographic film.
